Friendly and hospitable. Room mainly clean. It was not properly prepared for us, but it was booked short notice and they were helpful trying to help out. The hotel was an old inn with stables now a pub courtyard and access to the hotel rooms
We ate two meals with two pints. Very reasonable and extra large portions. Food was really good, freshly made and served in a friendly atmosphere. Great chat with the family owners. Top job, would recommend highly.
Excellent place to stay, Made to feel very welcome by Mark the bar manager and all the staff, important to me as I was travelling alone. Lovely, comfortable room, and great food served in the restaurant if you don't want to be in the lively bar. Tasty free range meats mostly from the landlords own farm. Hope to return.
We went in for breakfast there were 5 of us and it was lovely. Been looking for a great priced and cooked breakfast for ages
Didn't stay in Royal Oak but had a meal with a couple of friends had a REALY GREAT MEAL we all had the BURGERS with cheese bacon and fries the BURGERS were PROBABLY the BEST I've had they R VERY VERY TASTY s were GREAT and the waitress was very professional and NICE THANKS WILL B BACK
Joined in with a regular folky group gathering who were rehearsing for a cèilidh. Very pleased to be able to jam in with their tunes and reciprocate with a few of our songs. Room temp perhaps a touch cold to be sat just watching. But, good beer, helpful staff and friendly folk. Thanks all
Myself and Friends poped into here for a lovely meal on Saturday (26/2/22) for lunch on our way to Aberystwyth. The food was delicious and the staff were very helpful. I was able to get around easily in my Wheelchair.
Myself, my dad and brother in law just had an amazing tomahawk steak cooked to perfection in the stables burger and steak house... Came with a box full of fries, onion rings, coleslaw and salad... Food was exquisite and the staff are so friendly you'd think your having a meal at a mates house... Definitely worth a visit... I'd travel 4 hours to eat there food again. Great selection of lager, ale, wine, whiskey and vodka... 5 stars does not do this place justice. Thanks to all the staff there for making our last night in Lampeter a brilliant one...
5 stars for the food, it's been great every time. I would definitely recommend the cod burger and the italian pizzas. You can tell it's all freshly made with quality ingredients.
Had a great stay and dinner. Staff were so friendly. Food was delicious and the portions are huge! Rooms are nice, Clean and tidy. Tea/coffee was very well stocked! I had my 3 year old child with me and there was a little noise from the courtyard but nothing more than I would expect for a Saturday night in a pub! She still managed to get to sleep easy! Would definitely come back.
